Housing Services

At the Brooklyn Chinese-American Association (BCA), we provide a variety of housing services. Our Housing Specialist offers bilingual (Chinese and English) housing services include the following:

Assistance in applying for public housing, senior housing, low-income housing and middle-income housing
Assistance in applying for SCRIE (Senior Citizen Rent Increase Exemption Program), STAR (School Tax Relief), and HEAP (Home Energy Assistance Program) programs
Conflict resolution between tenants and landlords
Information and assistance regarding tenant rights and responsibilities
Information and assistance regarding landlord rights and responsibilities
Information and assistance regarding fair housing laws
Information and assistance regarding rent regulations
Response for eviction threats and notices
Clarification on terms and conditions on leases and other housing related documents
Housing advocacy

Affordable homeownership options
